Taiwan is inviting international travelers to return and rediscover the island with its latest “Return to Taiwan, Double Your Luck” initiative for independent travelers.
Because sometimes, the best reason to revisit a destination is discovering how much more there is to see.
Taiwan is inviting international travelers to return and rediscover the island with its latest “Return to Taiwan, Double Your Luck” initiative for independent travelers.
The program is aimed at international visitors who have previously traveled to Taiwan, giving them an added incentive to plan their next journey. Eligible returning travellers have the opportunity to receive NT$5,000 in spending credits, while those travelling with a companion can potentially unlock benefits of up to NT$8,000, subject to the program's eligibility and reward conditions.
The initiative reflects a growing focus on encouraging repeat visitation and turning previous visitors into returning explorers.
And for travellers from India, a return trip can mean seeing a completely different side of Taiwan.
Perhaps your first visit was all about Taipei. The next could take you towards the mountains, coastal towns, cultural neighborhoods, tea-growing regions, or Taiwan’s celebrated food destinations. Perhaps you discovered the city; now it is time to discover the island.
The program forms part of Taiwan’s broader international tourism strategy to attract repeat visitors and encourage them to spend more time experiencing the destination. The current initiative applies to eligible repeat international travelers entering Taiwan from October 10, 2026, with online registration opening from October 1, 2026, according to Taiwan’s Tourism Administration.
You have been to Taiwan. Now, come back and experience the Taiwan you haven’t seen yet.
Because a second visit should not feel like a repeat, it should feel like a whole new story.
