Taiwan Strengthens India Tourism Connect with New Delhi–Taipei Direct Flight and Diverse Travel Experiences

The Taiwan Tourism Administration (TTA), under Taiwan’s Ministry of Transportation and Communications, hosted a tourism promotion event in New Delhi on 9 October 2026, bringing around 100+ travel trade professionals, EVA Airline as an airline partner, StarDream cruise operator and media to strengthen tourism ties between Taiwan and India.
The event highlighted Taiwan’s diverse tourism offerings and the growing opportunities within India’s outbound travel market along with the DMCs partners support. A key announcement was made about EVA Air’s upcoming non-stop Delhi–Taipei service, scheduled to commence on 1 December 2026, making travel to Taiwan more convenient for Indian travellers while improving connectivity to destinations across EVA Air’s global network.
The promotion also showcased opportunities across leisure travel, premium holidays, corporate incentive trips and MICE tourism. StarDream Cruises presented fly-cruise packages, highlighting the potential to combine Taiwan’s vibrant cities, cultural experiences and culinary offerings with cruise itineraries.
Beyond its established attractions, Taiwan continues to appeal to travellers through its natural landscapes, rich cultural heritage, distinctive cuisine, shopping experiences and welcoming urban destinations. The Taiwan Tourism Administration is also encouraging visitors to explore more through its complimentary half-day transit tour programme for eligible international travellers.
Further strengthening its appeal, the Rediscover Taiwan, Double the Good Fortune campaign, launching in October 2026, will offer eligible international independent travellers opportunities to receive shopping and spending credits, encouraging repeat visits and travel with friends and family.
India remains an important emerging market for Taiwan, with growing opportunities for collaboration across airlines, travel companies, media and destination partners. Improved air connectivity, innovative travel products and targeted tourism promotion are expected to play a significant role in attracting more Indian visitors.
